Why mountain?

We had a Monday off of class before the new semester started so a few of us climbed up Y mountain (the big mountain behind my school with a Y on it). And not just to the Y, to the tippy tippy top through snow, and trees, and mud, and rocks, and flowers, and cookie dough, and ok maybe I'm getting a little carried away. It was BEAUTIFUL like only the top of a mountain can be. This is the Nathan most of you have heard so much about. This is Matt White, he likes to wear a straw cowboy hat while hiking. This is looking South West over Utah Lake. Who'd have thought it was so pretty so close, you just can't see it from the ground! Hmm, I feel a lesson coming on This is Amy... in the sky with diamonds

Arches 2

One of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen. Earlier, the same sunset This was the super windy day. We found a little trail out of the park and had a nice hike in the pleasent absense of nature's sand blaster. AND there was water(my and Kaela's favorite part), it was a little like home...a little Us 4 when we got home in our dearly beloved Bonaparte (Kaela and I named him when we drove him from Valdez to Provo last summer). Even though he doesn't have air conditioning, he does the job and we love him for his faults as well as his strengths! I told the girls to look like they were jumping forward over the hill (it's not really a cliff) when I took this picture. A group of people had gathered behind me and when I counted to 3 and they all jumped there was a huge GASP behind me, apparently, they all thought they were acutally jumping off a cliff! Not that they wouldn't for the sake of a picture, but at least not at the beginning of the trip ;)

Arches

This is our camping trip to Arches National Park in Utah. BEAUTIFUL place, seriously, Utah is worth a visit, there are so many awesome and very different places in close proximity to eachother, it's too good to miss. This is us 4 arching in the arch. This is delicate arch, the one that's on all the license plates in Utah. The guy who took the picture dubbed us yellow (me), pink (Kaela), grey(linsey), and white (megan)-so we decided to keep the names for the rest of the trip! we couldn't convince little Megan to stand close enough to the edge of the little cliff and jump to make it look like her feet were off the ground. The second one from the right, that's me jumping AND taking the picture! Kaela and I scaling some rocks. We climbed everything we could get our hands on. This day was our blue day, it was a little windy...and by a little windy I mean if you uncovered your skin it got sand blasted. We had sand EVERYWERE, in our hair, nose, ears, etc. It didn'
