two cleaning checks in one month!!!

a tall personality This weekend has been INCREDIBLE! I won't say much about the amount of homework that did or did not get done (more of the latter than the former), but I did manage to rock the world on my anthropology test. I have aca deca to thank for that. Not only did it teach me how to study LOTS of information efficiently and retain it, but I learned how to be a good guesser on multiple choice tests. Not that I didn't study hard, there were just some things I managed to miss completely with my notes, and anyway, anth tests not that interesting. My good and faithful buddy Jonathan the Urie told Chels and me about a free Salsa and Argentinian Tango class on Saturday so we showed up and hoped they wouldn't kick us out for not having taken 280 yet. We were in luck. The classes were SOOOOOOO SO SO much fun. Boy am I glad I have friends that remember me when about to do cool stuff. To add to the awesomness of the weekend, it was stake conference, and I got to meet with 2 g

Here Mom

a tall personality My mom asked me to put pictures of me up. Since I'm the all-time photographer I have no pictures of me so after the social dance lab Lillian took some, and we had a grand old time! Only news on this front is....I spilled water on my keyboard and now my enter key doesn't work...I should probably get that checked out. Apparently computers are allergic to water. AAAANNNNDDD I got a job working on the Prince Willaim Sound Cruises and Tours boats this summer!!! woohooooooo!

This is what Lillian claims is a real smile, but I maintain a real smile from me has yet to be captured on film (or digital memory)

Those are Christmas decorations on my head, I guess I was just feeling princessish

This was me visually telling Lillian not to take pictures of me because I was pretending to do homework

As some know pizza rolls can get messy, so we decided to vacuume. As we were making a bunch of noise in the hall kaela asked us to be quiet, and I said "I guess I better not vacuume then...", she laughed because she thought I was joking. Then she came out in the hall and saw me putting the vacuume away. Keep in mind it was after midnight, I guess you might have had to be there, it was funny at any rate

Chelsea brough pepperoni rolls to my room at about midnight. It follows that we ate them, oh yes, we definitely ate them.

a tall personality We have to write a fairy tale in German, this is mine auf English. This is a story about a duck. This duck lived (for most of the year) at the pond by the bell tower at BYU. His favorite food in the whole world was bread from the Morris Center. There was nothing he liked more than when people brought him Morris Center bread. He always fought the hardest to get all the bread he could, and he did, he was the duck with the most bread every time. This was because he had a secret. Every night, once everyone went to sleep, the duck would sneak across the sidewalk, hide in the bushes and wait for the deer to come out. He would watch them hop, and run, and then scamper off when a car came. Once they moved on to the south side of campus, the duck would practice running and leaping like the deer. It was because of all this practice that he was able to get all the Morris Center bread before the other ducks could. His second desire, closely behind having all

This is Kissing Couple. Anyone who hasn't been to that area of our glorious country best get there soon before it all erodes away, it's astounding!

THIS would be Independence

This is an outlook called Cold Shivers on the Colorado National Monument. That's 1/11 of my Uncle George there on the right, the little town is either Fruita or Grand Junction

These are more of my favorite things on campus, besides my trees. These are ducks. They're always there to greet me in the morning on the way to classes, they're there on Sunday when I sit by the pond and read. Sometimes we steal bread from the Morris Center to feed them, I think they deserve it, they truly are good ducks. Well...despite how funny they are to watch waddle around, they aren't very good at playing, BUT they do stay until late November, which is more than I can say for the ducks at home.
Image
This is my second favorite tree. He's a little more obscure, down at the bottom of the hill on the far side of the big building that is on the hill that's not the RB with water fountains in it. Can't remember the name. I named this one Cuddles, after my cat. My guess is it doesn't look quite so pathetic in the summer months, but I'll try to keep this updated so if anyone comes here they'll recognize my trees no matter the season.
Image
This is my first favorite tree. I didn't noticed him until his leaves fell off. This isn't his best angle, he has a lot of peculiar looking right angles to him. I named him Walter.

a tall personality My dad has come to visit! Everytime I say visit I think "wisit" and I've started to spell review reweiw, and I've started to captitalized all my Nouns. I'm going to call it a good thing that the German is becoming internalized! We went out to eat tonight, it was nice to actually enjoy the food I'm eating! And not to knock the usual conversation around the dinner table here, but nothing beats a good father-daughter talk about life. Today I could not stop smiling. No particular reason, just a good solid day. I took pictures of my favorite trees on campus yesterday, I'd best post those. I feel like I need to kick this up a notch now that I've told people about it! Dad and I are going to Colorado on Friday, I might have said this already, ausgezeichnet! We're going to wisit my Aunt Katie (his sister) in Grand Junction for a few days, weil wir ein langes Wochenende haben. Katie Bryson I never did find that 'spec

a tall personality If you haven't gone to the international cinema this week, I HIGHLY reccomend it. It's a German film called Mostly Martha, and is excellent. It has english subtitles too (I would have been lost otherwise), make sure you don't eat before you go though so when you go home you are ready to cook! So much dancing this week! Lots of new dances, lots of learning dances on my own. I've probably mentioned this already, but every time I try to do homework I find myself dancing. I suppose there are worse things, but gosh is it ever distracting! A friend and I were discussing the insincerity of the accepted greetings these days. I decided I atleast need to find a new reply, and by that I mean one other than "good" or "very well" which is grammatically correct but sounds even less sincere. I think for now I'll go with golden, until a better one comes up. Any suggestions?

Those are certainly lollipop sticks, carmel apple lollipop to be precise

This is actually the work of Jonathan the Urie. Those plants looks disturbingly alive and like they're creeping

That's him, the guy I asked to take his shirt off. This is him with his shirt off. Jonathan is a white shirt and jeans kind of guy

This is Lillan's gnarly blister, cool focus too, it just kind of happened

This is Brian also in Chelsea's clothes. These things seem to happen during visiting hours

a tall personality Stats for this week Hours spend watching Smallville instead of doing homework :atleast 5 Hours spent dancing instead of doing homework: 8+ Acceptance letters to study abroad in Vienna this fall: 1! Hour spent WATCHING dancing instead of doing homework: 6 so far so there's been a lot of dancing...and a lot of Smallville. mostly dancing and I don't mind. I was sitting in the sun eating dinner by myself (I like it that way sometimes), and the thought came to me, "it's not how bad you want to attain the goal, it's how well you can see it that truly drives you" I can't really take credit for that. Can't take credit for much when it comes right down to it. oo to add to the stats list Number of guys I asked to take off their shirt so I could take their picture: 10..-9, so just one, but it did work!

a tall personality I have got to get a regular picture of Jonathan to contrast all the weird ones. I found a new favorite spot on campus. In the law building staring at the digital bullitan board, particularly on Sundays between meetings. Its messages change lives. Last Sunday one I saw that stood out was, "What I do today must be important because I am paying a day of my life for it. What I do everyday must be worth it because the price is high."
Image
The one on the left is Elder Eric Chase on his mission. Wow he looks green. He's in Wyoming in the Ogden, UT mission.
Image
Once again, Jonathan dressed funny. The shirt- Chelsea's, Kaela wore it to a concert yesterday. The pants- also Chelseas, but I think she gave them away. It's not QUITE BYU appropriate (the midriff), nonetheless too good not to share. Jonathan if any of these bug you let me know and i'll take them down :)

Yes, those are snowflake long underwears!

Jonathan before the event, glowsticks, white shoes, spikey hair and all.

Traum

a tall personality "If I always thought I was wrong I might be right, but then I would be wrong." "I've already suffered through a life of deprevity and denial, I don't need Smallville!" My best friend, her room mate and I all dreamed about Smallville last night. In mine my friend from home was in Smallville wearing a bathrobe that said ::Latro:: on it. I'm not really sure what to think about that. The night before I dreamed I was trying to save someone who kept screaming "ENTE ENTE ENTE ENTE!" which is the German word for...duck, the bird not the verb. Hopefully sweeter dreams to come, but I don't mind the weird ones, they're fun to tell people about

oooo I want to linger

Man I just wrote a post in the wrong place, and now it seems to have lost its self (if you're French). The jist: I so happy! It seems to me I have been given more this week than I can imagine deserving. I hope this is a turning point in this spiritual cycle, I've been a little down for a little while. This week was lots of tests, a few celebrity encounters, lots of dancing, new discoveries, and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, the sun came out! Hoorah for all that is good and true! Tonight I went to the Euro Disco Dance-like thing. It wasn't very much like any dances I have been to in Europe (a grand totale of uno), but I prefer BYU Euro dances anyway. It was fun to watch so many happy people wiggling without a care. I hear if one wiggles at the Aurora Borialis they will wiggle back. Actually, I know it for a fact, I've tried it. I think stars should be on the Utah endangered list, Utah definitely does not have its fair share. If bald
